Senator Sharafadeen Alli has called for a united effort to address the challenges facing Nigeria’s education sector.
Speaking yesterday at the 18th LAUTECH Alumni annual lecture in Ogbomoso, the lawmaker emphasized the need for government, alumni, and the private sector to work together on reforms.
Alli highlighted issues like underfunding and inadequate infrastructure as key barriers to educational progress, noting that Nigeria’s education budget falls short of UNESCO’s recommended allocation.
The senator also advocated for public-private partnerships (PPPs) to support educational reforms, especially in vocational training, to improve employability.
