Following disenchantment with the impact of the macroeconomic reforms, especially in petrol and foreign exchange deregulations, policies which have recorded multiple civil unrests and labour shutdowns, Nigerians have expressed concern after the International Monetary Fund, IMF, said Nigeria may now be experiencing what it called ‘adjustment fatigue’.
Speaking on Royal Fm Programme ‘Oro Ton Lo’ ,outstanding Public Analyst ,Comrade olanrewaju oladimeji, has also shared his thoughts on the IMF recommendations emphasizing broad-based engagement with the populations in making sure the policies yield positive results.
Analysts Oladimeji who appraised President Tinubu for his political ambition, said the President has strategic plans for ascension into political office which was supported by his popular mantra, however, strategic goals and plans for the citizens wasn’t enshrouded in his plans adding that there is a crystal difference between an ambition and being solution driven for the populace’s benefit.
While citing examples from other African countries, Ghana ,Egypt, and Mali economic policies by their government , the analysts trailed it to how their government swiftly responded to peoples outcry with immediate solution , an action that opposes Nigeria present administration.
Analyst Oladimeji however appealed to the government to strategize its policy formation to alleviate the daily pains faced by many Nigerians.
